This month we hosted our 10th annual Business Technology Conference.  It is amazing how quickly 10 years passed and even more amazing is the advancements in technology over those 10 years.

BTC has served the Midwest as a showcase for technology as well as a source for education in technology, this year's event was no different. A few of my personal highlights from the day include:
  • The opportunity to host a group of students from Hamilton Technical College. It was great to see their enthusiasm in our industry, how technology is applied and where the future is headed.
  • The new technologies and live-hands-on demos such as LED lighting and 3D projection/interaction had attendees lined up throughout the day.
  • A chance to talk with our keynote, technology innovator Nicholas Webb, about how technology will continue to evolve, where it's heading and how it'll impact our lives.
  • The activity on the show floor and the busy classes. It was great to see the classes packed with attendees from our local communities taking advantage of the industry and technology education offered.
  • Our staff and partners. Their pride and passion for technology and their hard work and commitment to our customers, this reminds me of how lucky I am to be part of it all.
This month's newsletter shares some highlights, partners and technologies from the event. We hope to see you at next year's BTC, October 17, 2017.

CEC Focuses on Next Generation

Encouraging students to consider careers in the industry, CEC invited a class from Hamilton Technical College to visit BTC. The students had an opportunity to spend time with the CEC technical teams, sit in on a class and get a glimpse of the technologies they could work with in the future.
