End of Manufacturer Support for Avaya/Nortel CS1000 Phone System

February 28, 2019 | CEC News

If you are using the Avaya or Nortel Communication Server 1000 (CS1000) phone system, please let CEC know. This system enters End of Manufacturer Support (EoMS) for software in April. This means that there will be no future software updates, patches, or upgrades. The CS1000 system will continue to be supported until 2022 if issues arise.

For several decades, the CS1000 phone system has been a communications workhorse. It started out as the Nortel Meridian PBX platform and became part of the Avaya portfolio after the company’s acquisition of the Nortel Enterprise unit in 2009.

Now’s the time for you to plan for a graceful migration to a new phone system – and CEC can help.

By moving to the Avaya Aura or Avaya IP Office system through the Loyalty2gether program, you’ll be better prepared to meet the changing communication needs of your employees and customers, including the ability to support mobility, BYOD, and video collaboration. CEC can help you make the right choice for a new phone system, design the system to meet specific criteria, and deploy the system efficiently and successfully.
