Hiawatha, IA (Aug. 2, 2019) – CEC, a nationally recognized systems and technology integrator in the Midwest, is excited to announce that Vice President of People and Organizational Excellence Shereen Bender has been promoted to serve as the company’s executive vice president of operations.

When Bender joined CEC more than five years ago, she was tasked with launching CEC’s first-ever training department and leading the newly created People and Organizational Excellence (POE) group. In this role, she made noticeable improvements to employee engagement and organizational effectiveness while directing HR, training and onboarding, and continuous improvement processes.

“We know Shereen will help operations make impactful progress,” says CEC CEO Matt Dlouhy. “And progress matters in achieving our mission to make technology simple and to be the most recommended technology partner out there.”

As executive vice president of operations, Bender will continue to oversee the POE group while adding operations to her list of responsibilities. Working side by side with Vice President of Operations Randy Montelius and CEC’s team of general managers, she’ll serve as the driving force for company standardization, performance measurement, and team, process, workflow, and customer-experience optimization.

“I appreciate this opportunity and look forward to working with a team that has already made so much progress in terms of operational improvements,” says Bender. “By working together, we’ll make tremendous progress toward meeting – and exceeding – our goals.”
