Congratulations to Mike Servais (left, below), who was nominated by Travis Vollmer (center, below) for the Patriot Award, given by the Employer Support of the National Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense program! Mike was presented with the award on Friday, Feb. 15.
The award is given to an employee who provides support directly to a Guard or Reserve member and his or her family. These employees are nominated by coworkers who serve in the Guard or Reserve, or the spouse of a Guard or Reserve member. Vollmer currently serves in the Wisconsin National Guard.
“It was a very prestigious moment for me,” says Servais. “I’m honored that Travis considers CEC to be flexible and understanding to his service schedule.”
The Patriot Award reflects the efforts made to support citizen warriors through a wide range of measures, including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families, and granting leaves of absence if needed.
